Alumni Progression Scholarship

A discount of up to 20% is available to our alumni who progress to a non-government/research funded Masters programme at the university having completed an undergraduate degree programme, certain short course programmes or an exchange programme at one of the university's main campuses, Partner, Network or Collaborative colleges.

This tuition fee discount is applicable to Masters programmes undertaken in any of our faculties as follows -

This discount is applicable to the full fee due. This bursary is available in addition to the prompt payment discount where payment is made in full at the time of registration. The prompt payment discount is only available on the amount due after the Alumni Scholarship has been applied.

This bursary is not available to students in the Medway of School of Pharmacy.

The following students are not eligible for this scholarship:

  • MPhil and PhD students
  • students in receipt of the Fast Forward Master's Scholarship or any other specific award, such as the China or Nationality Scholarships.

Sports and leisure awards

David Fussey Choral Exhibition Bursary

This cash bursary of £1,000pa (payable in two £500 instalments) is awarded for a maximum of three years and is available to students at the university who apply and are selected to join the University of Greenwich Choir.

The bursary is awarded in memory of Dr David Fussey, the late Vice-Chancellor of the University of Greenwich, who gained great enjoyment from singing in choirs.

The choral exhibitioner must remain an active member of the choir, attend all rehearsals and give full support to the university's Music Director. In the second year, the choral exhibitioner, in conjunction with the Music Director, is responsible for publicity and general administrative tasks for the choir. The closing date for applications each year is 30 September.

London awards

Sir William Boreman's Foundation

The Foundation provides bursaries to permanent residents of the London boroughs of Greenwich and Lewisham. Bursaries can be used for travel, equipment, tuition fees, university excursions and general living expenses. UK full-time and part-time undergraduate and postgraduate students are eligible to apply.

Am I eligible?

In order to be eligible for this bursary, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants must have lived in the borough for a minimum of five years.
  • Applicants must be under 25.
  • Applicants must have a family residual income in the region of £30,000 a year. 

The bursary is awarded for one academic session only. Students that continue to meet the eligibility criteria may apply each year to be considered for further awards. Payments for successful applicants are made following assessment at any point throughout the academic year. The university will endeavour to assess applications within 4 weeks. Students studying with the Medway School of Pharmacy are not eligible for this award.
