Overview

This programme provides a comprehensive introduction to core technical and managerial aspects of highway engineering and plant management within a vocational 'Clerk of Works' practitioner context.

The aims of the programme are:

  • To develop abilities to provide technical, managerial and economic solutions to highway engineering and plant management problems
  • To confidently communicate with client, professional and public organisations and individuals in relation to the provision of advice and the solution of relevant problems
  • To develop positive attitudes to career advancement based on knowledge and understanding of requirements and options within a practitioner context.

Professional recognition

This programme gives partial contribution to academic formation of Incorporated Engineer.

Careers

On completion you can progress to senior roles within military or civilian organisations.
