This Module is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and analytical capabilities needed to understand, evaluate and practice leadership skills. The module engages a variety of theoretical frameworks to understand, analyse and apply leadership leverage and tools in the context of leading change.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this module a student will be able to:
1 Discuss selected leadership/followership theories.
2 Apply leadership/followership theories to understanding successes and pitfalls of real time leaders and followers.
3 Develop a critical argumentation around leadership topics.
4 Gain reflective capacity with regards to the leadership student encounter in their professional lives.

• Case Analysis and application to practice.

Teaching and learning activity

The module will be delivered through weekly interactive lectures and small group tutorials.


Leadership Report - 100% LO - 1-4, Pass mark - 40%, 3,000 words.
