Aaron Tan PGCert, SFHEA

Senior Teaching Fellow

Aaron graduated in Management with Marketing from the University of Manchester (formerly UMIST). Before joining the University Aaron had spent fifteen years working in a variety of industries from Aerospace and Defence (bid and contract managed a cumulative value of £35 million) to Road Reinstatement. He also has experience in working in firms of all sizes from start-ups, SMEs, multinationals and as an entrepreneur. His breadth of experience allows him to deliver practical insights into the theories and concepts being taught.

Aaron has a keen interest in pedagogic practices, having been Programme Leader for a variety of programmes including Entrepreneurship and Innovation; Purchasing and Supply Chain Management; and Transport and Logistics Management. Aaron has previously led his programme to 100% satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2022.

Responsibilities within the university

Aaron is the current Programme Director for the Help to Grow programme.  In this role, Aaron overseas the recruiting, delivery and reporting activities for the programme.  In his role as External Engagement co-lead, Aaron is also responsible for establishing a connection with local enterprises.
