Dr Anna Piazza PhD

Lecturer in Economic Sociology

Dr. Anna Piazza is a lecturer in Economic Sociology at School of Business and Operations of Strategy. She holds a PhD from University of Greenwich and MSc from University of Pisa (Italy). Before joining the University of Greenwich in January 2023, Anna was Postdoctoral Researcher at Computer Science at the University College London.

Responsibilities within the university

  • Tutor for undergraduate module: BUSI1574 Managing Global Business Networks; BUSI1710 International Business Project; RESE1170 Business Research Methods; and BUSI1701 Personal and Professional Development.
  • Projects supervision.

Research / Scholarly interests

Anna’s research interests revolve around interorganisational networks and social cybersecurity in organisations. More specifically, her research interests draw upon the sociological perspective to investigate how social relationships impact individual and organisational outcomes, addressing dynamics of interorganisational collaboration and information sharing, and recently the socio-relational aspects of cybersecurity.
