Lecturer in Strategy and Leadership

Daria Samatoina joined the University of Greenwich in 2022 as a Lecturer in Strategy and Leadership. Her academic career journey began in 2018 at Robert Gordon University in Scotland, where she laid the foundation for her profession. Her PhD focuses on SMEs’ crisis management and venture decision-making processes during periods of extended exogenous crisis. Her further research interest falls within the students’ entrepreneurial development & education, entrepreneurial identity, and team formation.

She further engages and works with the Generator of the University of Greenwich to support and contribute to students’ entrepreneurial development and deliver practical knowledge surrounding venture growth. Additionally, she contributes towards entrepreneurial curriculum design and development within the university to introduce innovation within the classroom.

Daria is a module leader for ‘Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship’ and teaches undergraduate programmes in the Business School covering a range of modules, including Small Business Development, Innovation in Competitive Environment and Business Creation Project.

Daria is also a fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.
