With over two decades of experience in academia, he began his career as a full-time faculty member at Stenden University (previously known as CHN University) in Qatar, working from 2002 to 2008. Since then, he has held various academic positions, including visiting professor at several universities and business schools in France, such as Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, Paris School of Business, and Ferrandi, Paris.

He was also appointed as an assistant professor at the faculty of business administration at Beirut Arab University- Lebanon for four years before joining the University of Greenwich. Beside academia, he has professional experience where he worked as an operations manager for Al-Wataniya Restaurants. He was responsible for the overall operations of the local and franchise restaurants brand concepts.

Ahmad holds a Doctorate of Business Administration from Grenoble School of Management- France. His thesis titled: “Green Tourism and Consumer Perceptions: A Marketing Strategy for Lebanon’s Hotels “.  The initiation of his thesis serves to investigate and provide an in-depth insights and analysis of consumers’ perception and behaviour towards the launching of green hotels in Lebanon.

Recent publications

His recent publications included a book chapter in The Emerald Handbook of Destination Recovery in Tourism and Hospitality and a research paper in Worldwide Hospitality and Tourism Themes. He has also presented at The International Mesopotamia Tourism Congress. Ahmad is excited about establishing connections amongst individuals who have similar or interdisciplinary scientific and research pursuits.
