Applying for accommodation

Living in University of Greenwich halls is a great way to make friends, build your independence and get the most out of student life. To apply, simply go to our online portal.

5 steps to university accommodation

  1. Get prepared

You'll need to select the university as your firm choice before applying for accommodation. We can then send you login information so you can apply online. If you're still deciding which hall's right for you, check out our accommodation pages.

  2. Visit the portal

The accommodation process is different depending on when and how you applied to study with us.
    - If you applied before 5 July, you will need to log onto the applicant portal to apply.
    - If you've come through Clearing, you can apply after you've received your login, on or after 20 August (don't worry - there will still be plenty of rooms available). Just go to the main university portal, select 'My student life' and click on 'Forms and information' under 'Accommodation.' This will take you to the online application form.

  3. Submit your application

Please check we've got your correct email address so we can send you a confirmation email. If there's an error, just contact our Enquiry Unit or Accommodation Services. We'll process your application and email you your accommodation offer.

  4. Check your offer

Your offer has important information, such as how to book your room, pay your deposit and sign your accommodation licence agreement. Important deadlines are also included, so please read it carefully.

  5. Accept

Once you've selected the room you want, just sign the accommodation licence agreement and pay your £400 deposit before the deadline date provided. You will receive an email confirming your place with information about collecting your keys and moving in.

You can apply for accommodation if you're currently younger than 18, as long as you'll be turning 18 during your first academic year. If not, don't worry - just contact Accommodation Services and we'll give you guidance on other housing options.
