Partner Institutions
The university works closely with a number of colleges, both in the local region and internationally. For the University of Greenwich the rationale and purpose for developing collaborative provision lies in the fact that such academic partnerships serve to meet demand for higher education at a local, regional, national and international level. The University aims to support growth in educational provision in the area served by the partner and thereby help to meet identified skills shortages and needs of industry. Partnerships are seen as important ways in which the university can develop academic progression routes to degree programmes, potentially to stimulate research and consultancy activities between staff, share effective practices and in general broaden the experience and horizons of both students and staff.
The university's current partnerships include:
- A Partner College Network of eleven colleges in South East London, Kent and Medway
- A Post Compulsory Certificate of Education and Training (PCET) network of linked Colleges across the UK
- Collaborations with private and state funded UK Colleges and Universities
- Collaborations with overseas institutions
- External Credit Rating of UK organisations courses and training programmes
- Progression arrangements with a diverse range of institutions in the UK and overseas to support entry to the University's programmes of study.
