To mark 10 years of the Loudspeaker Orchestra concert series, the SOUND/IMAGE Research Centre at the University of Greenwich, in collaboration with BEAN (British ElectroAcoustic Network), invites you to take part in “Then–Now–Beyond” – a community curation project.
We’re asking our community of composers, listeners, and sound artists to help us identify the most significant and inspiring electroacoustic and sound art compositions created in the UK over the past seven decades.
Your participation will help shape a celebratory concert that reflects the richness, diversity, and evolution of electroacoustic music in Britain - from its pioneering beginnings to the voices shaping its future.
🔹 Who can take part: Anyone with an interest in electroacoustic and sound art music
🔹 What you’ll do: Share your views on which works best represent key moments, innovations, or inspirations in the field through a short online survey - and, if you wish, take part in a follow-up focus group to discuss your ideas in more depth.
🔹 Why it matters: Your voice will help highlight the artists and works that have shaped electroacoustic music in the UK - informing both academic research and the curation of a special anniversary concert honouring this vibrant creative community.
Help us celebrate the past, resonate with the present, and imagine what comes next!
