How do I access my online course materials?

All your course materials will be made available online. These will be accessible through your module website once you have enrolled and term begins.

What is the Virtual Learning Environment?

The Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) will be where you find everything you need for your module.

There will be lots of information within your online course pages but the main things to be aware of are:

• You'll have week-by-week studies guiding your learning throughout the module.
• There is an assessment section, showing exactly what you need to do for each assignment and when they're due.
• Within the module you will join other students in your cohort; collaborating on weekly activities, discussing key topics and applying your learning.
• And it's also where you can find all the module resources and materials, available in a variety of accessible formats.

What technology or equipment do I need to study online?

To study online, we recommend a laptop or computer, with an up-to-date version of a web-based browser, and a strong and stable internet connection.

Do I need a visa to undertake an online degree from my home country?

No, you won't need a visa to study any of our Greenwich Online courses.

Are University of Greenwich online degrees recognised in the same way as on-campus degrees?

Yes.

Online degrees have the same academic standards and the same expert teaching.

Your degree certificate will not say "online".

Is there an online student community I can get involved with?

Yes. As a Greenwich Online student, you'll be part of a vibrant and supportive online community designed to help you connect, collaborate, and succeed.

• Cohort based study groups - you'll join a dedicated study group of typically no more than 30 students, helping you build meaningful connections and a strong peer support network.

The University of Greenwich Online offers three intakes each year:

What are the admission requirements for online study?

We are currently accepting applications from students in the UK, Bangladesh, India, Nigeria and Pakistan. If you are not eligible, please consider our on-campus courses. We are continuously reviewing eligibility criteria and hope to add additional countries next year.

Is there a graduation ceremony?

Yes, at the end of your studies, you will receive the opportunity to graduate at our historical UNESCO world heritage campus in Greenwich, UK.
