Assoc. Prof. J. Andres Coca-Stefaniak:
In this article, Dr. J. Andres Coca-Stefaniak, builds on his 15 years of research in place management as well as emerging results from major EU-funded projects currently under way at the University of Greenwich to argue that hospitality businesses have a key role to play in the competitive positioning of places by tapping into local zeitgeist and what makes each place unique, instead of re-creating homogenising global brand approaches. In order to achieve this, partnership working with local stakeholders is key.
