This year’s Enterprise Challenge received almost 200 applications from both the UK and our partner college, FPT Vietnam. Each year, students compete for the coveted title of Greenwich Entrepreneur of the Year and an impressive £5,000 cash prize to support their business. Funded by Santander, the Enterprise Challenge offers students six weeks of expert mentoring, valuable networking opportunities and the chance to secure funding to grow their idea into a fully fledged enterprise.
At the Grand Finals, 12 students pitched their ideas to an expert panel of judges and an audience of around 100 people, including university leaders, academics, entrepreneurs and fellow students. They had just three minutes to impress the room and present their vision to the judges, who included:
Marnie Swindells, Winner of BBC The Apprentice 2023 and founder of Bronx Boxing Gym
Christy Llewellyn, Founder of Loste Reusable Nails
Emmanuel Asuquo, FCA-Regulated Financial Adviser, Author and Speaker
Following the pitches, the students faced an intense Q&A session, giving them a final opportunity to strengthen their case before the results were announced. All the students delivered impressive pitches, and every entrepreneur who took part will continue to receive support from the Generator to help their businesses grow.
