Can you introduce yourself?
My name is Zen and I have recently graduated from the University of Greenwich with a First Class Business with Finance degree.
How has university helped for your personal or professional development?
The university has been a great support towards my personal and professional development. I had the opportunity to travel to Spain as part of a summer cultural programme. This was an invaluable experience as I developed great friendships and learnt to become more adaptable in new environments. As for my professional development, I have been able to expand my network and become better prepared when applying for jobs as a result of completing job assessment centres and the career mentoring scheme.
What would you highlight about your course?
My course entails both theory and practice which can easily be transferred into real life situations. Completing a consultancy project during my final year was particularly useful as I worked alongside a real organisation towards delivering strategies and solutions to help them grow. The vast range of modules within the course have also made me more aware of the different career options available to me as a Business with Finance student.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I would see myself hopefully settled within a company and progressing within the financial services sector.
How would you recommend the university to your friends and relatives?
The University of Greenwich is a great place to meet new people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The campus and facilities are amazing, and the Business School Employability Office provides valuable opportunities for students to get the most out of their university experience.
