Belinda Magee, Lecturer in Typography and Communication says that ISTD is the only International professional body run by and for typographers, graphic designers and educators. The Society has an international membership who share and support its aim to create and inspire interest in all forms of typographic communication.
ISTD establishes, maintains and promotes typographic standards through the forum of debate and design practice. This Membership is awarded to practising designers, educators and graduating students.
Our students demonstrated their ability and empowerment, through the quality of their work, their commitment to achieving the highest possible standard of visual communication.
I'm so pleased that my tutors trusted me to submit my work in ISTD this year. This award will boost my confidence to succeed in my third year of studies.

This is one of the most respected and internationally recognised competitions in the world and we are absolutely thrilled that 4 of our students were awarded in this otherwise tumultuous year – a record number for the Graphic and Digital Design Programme.
It's an excellent achievement from our students across years 2 and 3 who worked hard on a set of outstanding projects. Thank you also to colleagues, in particular tutor Belinda Magee who has championed ISTD for the past 6 years and guided the projects once again in 2019/20.
