Black History Month in the United Kingdom is held every October to celebrate the contributions of Black people to society and to promote knowledge of Black history, culture and heritage.
We have a number of events, talks, an exhibition and more which you can get involved with.
We've joined up with the BAME Staff Network, our Diversity Interest Group and Students' Unions and others to share what they have planned to celebrate the month too. In addition we're also linking to Stonewall's Black History Month Hub, which has information and resources to help you celebrate and educate.
Prof Tracey Reynolds is also featured in the Southbank Centre's exhibition Phenomenal Women: Black Female Professors - a recording of an online conversation is available on their website until 22 October. You can also see details of the exhibition which was featured in Stylist magazine.
We've included links to events taking place online, those organised by members of our university community, our local communities and those on the Black History Month website.
