Build to empower: join the Google Gemini Hackathon

Have an idea that could solve an everyday problem? The Women in STEM Society is inviting women and non-binary students from across the University of Greenwich to take part in its Google Gemini Hackathon on 9 November.

Taking place on Monday 9 November from 9am to 4pm in the Dreadnought Building Boardroom, Greenwich Campus, the event will bring together students to collaborate, develop new skills and create innovative prototype solutions powered by Google Gemini.

You don't need to be a coding expert to get involved. The Hackathon is open to students from all faculties, year groups and skill levels, making it a great opportunity for anyone curious about technology, artificial intelligence, innovation or problem-solving.

Whether you're studying Computing, Business, Engineering, Psychology, or another subject entirely, your ideas and perspective can help shape creative solutions.

Participants will work in teams of three, with support available throughout the day for those who are new to hackathons or digital technologies.

Food will be provided, and it's a chance to gain hands-on experience and explore how technology can be used to tackle real-world challenges.
