Congratulating our 2022 National Student Survey and Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey Award Winners

The University recently held its second NSS Awards Ceremony. An award recognising outstanding PTES results was also given for the first time.

On 12 October 2022 Professor Jane Harrington and the senior team hosted an event to celebrate the achievements of colleagues from across the University who achieved high scores in the NSS and PTES in 2022.

Colleagues from the following programmes who achieved 90% and above overall satisfaction in the NSS were invited, BA Hons Accounting and Finance, BA Hons Business Logistics and Transport Management, BA Hons Business Studies, BA Hons English Literature with Creative Writing, BA Hons History, BA Hons Sociology, BEng Hons Civil Engineering, BSc Hons Nursing (Adult Nursing), BSc Hons Digital Media Design and Development, BSc Hons Finance and Investment Banking, BSc Hons Forensic Science, BSc Hons Mental Health Nursing, BSc Hons Paramedic Science, BSc Hons Public Health (Extended) and BSc Hons Sociology and Criminology.

Colleagues teaching in the following subject areas at postgraduate level that achieved 90% and above overall satisfaction in PTES were invited, Adult nursing, Business computing, Community nursing, Design studies, Electrical and electronic engineering, Finance, Health studies, Management studies, Mechanical engineering, Molecular biology, biophysics and biochemistry, Sociology, Teacher training and Tourism, transport and travel.

Professional services colleagues from The Employability and Careers Service and The IT and Library Services Directorate were also invited due to exceptionally positive comments within the qualitative feedback.

All of the award winners received outstanding scores in the student surveys and incredible feedback from their students. For example, one student, who studied on BSc Hons Nursing (Adult Nursing) programme shared in their NSS response:

I cannot describe how grateful I am…The lecturers' positivity was contagious…This made me optimistic about my future because of the strong foundation gained from all of the staff members…Not to mention the librarians and housekeepers. Everyone who contributed to Greenwich University was excellent.
