TLDRoffon

During COP28, we will be holding events, including a Climate Cafe today (6 December), as well as highlighting UoG academics to celebrate their impactful contributions to tackling climate change.

COP28

Since the launch of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Conference of the Parties to the Convention (COP) has bought together member countries every year to determine ambition and responsibilities and identify and assess climate measures.

The 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference, known as COP28, will take place from November 30 to 12 December 2023, at Expo City in Dubai. It will be a pivotal platform to address the climate emergency and allow collaboration for climate justice to ensue.

COP28 represents the global push to combat environmental challenges and hopefully can create real positive impact for our planet . Here at the University of Greenwich, we are proud of those involved in tackling these issues and want to showcase that to the university and local community.
