Covid-19 vaccinations received overseas: Updated advice for proof of vaccination and self-isolation

The Government has updated its advice for people who have had their Covid-19 vaccination overseas.

The government is continuing to update its advice – you can find up to date information on its website: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus

Proof of vaccination if you received your Covid-19 vaccination overseas

If you have had your Covid-19 vaccination in any of the approved list of vaccines and countries you will be able to certify your vaccination status. You will be required to show your COVID status and your photo identification (for example a passport) matching the country in which you were vaccinated.

If you have been vaccinated overseas but your vaccine and certificates are not recorded in the approved list of vaccines and countries the UK Government does not consider you as fully vaccinated and therefore you will not be able to certify your vaccination.  We understand that University Alliance is continuing to work closely with the Government on this.

However, you are able to show proof of a negative Covid-19 symptom free (LFD) test to get a valid Covid pass.

For further information please see the government website.

Changes to self-isolation if you received your Covid-19 vaccination overseas and it is now recognised by the UK Government

If your vaccination is now recognised by the UK Government then if you are identified as having been in close contact with a positive Covid case, you are now able to follow the guidelines as people vaccinated in the UK.

For further information please see the government website.

Registering with a GP

Please make sure you are registered with a GP surgery – you can find information on how to do this on the NHS website.
