It's part of the university's responsibility to ensure staff have up-to-date information on these policies and procedures, which you can find below:
- Data Breach and Information Security Incident Management Policy, which includes the procedure to follow if staff suffer a personal data breach or information security incident
- Mandatory online training module on Moodle : Data Protection incorporating GDPR
In addition, there is also a half day face-to-face training workshop Managing Information – Keeping it Legal –which provides information and advice to help you manage information effectively, working within relevant legislation.

The university's Privacy web pages set out our commitment to processing personal data in line with Data Protection legislation, more information on how we do this is available on these pages.
We have recently updated our Codes of Practice in line with GDPR, these are aimed at all members of staff and include:
- Responsibilities of all staff when collecting and processing personal data
- Distribution of or access to personal information and Disclosure of information – what to do
- Marketing to data subjects.
