David Geraghty, former Senior Lecturer in the Humanities Department, passed away peacefully on 4 November 2020 at the age of 76 with his wife Gita by his side.
David joined Thames Polytechnic in 1971 as Lecturer in Philosophy and Philosophy of Science and retired in 2000 as Senior Lecturer and Head of Philosophy and Theology in what was by then the University of Greenwich.
David met his wife Gita at Thames Polytechnic in 1974 and they married in 1995. He is remembered by former colleagues, friends and family as an honourable, kind man with a powerful intellect who was a true gentleman.
