TLDRoffon

ebook platform Dawsonera will be unavailable after Friday 31 July, but you can save your information until then.

Dawson Books has gone into administration and their ebook platform Dawsonera will be unavailable after Friday 31 July. Titles held on Dawsonera will be migrated to our other ebook platforms.

To keep your title comments, notes, saved searches and alerts that you have in Dawsonera, you need to export them now.

To save title comments

  • Go to your 'my account' bookshelf. Select the title comments link and copy and paste your comments into Microsoft Word.

To save notes

  • Go to your 'my account' bookshelf. Select read online for any title containing your notes. Choose the notes tab in read online and there you will be able to save and export your notes as an RTF file.

To save saved searches and alerts

  • Go to your 'my account' bookshelf. Select 'my saved searches' or 'my search alerts' depending on what you have previously set up. The searches are numbered so select each one in turn. You will be able to view the list of books in your saved search or search alert and download them as a CSV file.

The titles we hold on Dawsonera will be migrated to our other ebook platforms, allowing you to still access them through our ebooks home page. This page gives you all the information you need about ebooks at the university and how to access them.

If you experience any issues accessing ebooks please contact the IT Service Desk.
