From Greenwich to Hollywood: University academic’s documentary research heads to LA

Mamma, That's All Right, documentary research by Dr Valentina Signorelli (Associate Professor and Programme Lead for BA Film Studies), is heading to Hollywood.

It is now in competition at the prestigious LA Shorts International Film Festival — an Academy Award® and BAFTA-qualifying festival.

Mamma, That's All Right is a recipient of the NIAF and the Aurelio De Laurentiis Film Prizes, it is produced by Italian studio Daitona, supported by the Centre for the Creative Futures, part of the Institute for Inclusive Communities and Environments with partners Tennessee Entertainment Commission and the Memphis and Shelby County Film and Television Commission.

The official soundtrack, "We'll Figure It Out," was recorded at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis and is available now on Spotify and Apple Music.
