The Architects for Health Student Design Awards is an annual design competition that aims to challenge students of architecture and design to explore innovative and compassionate design for health and social care settings. As well as promoting good design, AfH celebrates the opportunity to bring together students from different disciplines to share their creative ideas.
Cleo’s design discusses the negative impacts social media addiction can have on our mental health and wellbeing. She then focusses on the use of green technologies to provide sanctuary for social media addicts, either through access to naturalistic areas, aquaponic food production or even emergency ‘geosmin chambers’ where users can receive a boost to their immune system and improvement to their mental health.
The University of Greenwich Landscape Architecture programmes encourage innovation and experimentation alongside practical approaches to allow students the freedom to develop cutting-edge and workable design solutions to some of today’s environmental and social challenges.
