Times Higher Education World University Rankings – Greenwich ranks in top 100 for international outlook

Greenwich has been ranked as one of the top 100 universities globally for international outlook in the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

The university was ranked 92 for international outlook, one of the five areas assessed by Times Higher Education, in the results published on September 11.

In the area of international outlook, universities are ranked according to the percentage of international staff, international co-authorship and the percentage of international students.

Vice Chancellor of the university, David Maguire, said: "To be ranked in the top 100 of universities globally for our international outlook is a great achievement and demonstrates our commitment to attracting undergraduates, postgraduates and faculty from all over the world.

"We will build on this success and continue providing excellent teaching, high quality research, and ensuring that our students have a rewarding university experience."

Overall, Greenwich was ranked 601-800 out of 1396 universities globally. Rankings are made based on thirteen performance indicators grouped into the areas of teaching, research, citations, international outlook and industry income.

Greenwich improved on its position from last year in four out of the five areas of assessment, with the biggest improvement in research (up to 15.2 from 13.2 in 2019) and international outlook (up to 89.4 from 87.9 in 2019). Teaching also improved, with a score of 17.1, up from 16 in 2019.
