GSU Elections: Information for staff

TLDRoffon

Find out how you can support and encourage students to run and those who are running, while ensuring the elections are conducted "freely and fairly" without influence from staff.

These guidelines from the Greenwich Students' Union provide information for staff about the elections, the key dates and the importance of impartiality, including examples of what staff can and can't do, and how you can support students during the election processes.

For example, you can encourage students to stand in the Elections by recommending students through the "Recommend a friend" form on the Students' Union website, but you can't publicly endorse an individual student.  Likewise you can support candidates to advertise themselves through lecture shout outs, but not by only offering this to preferred candidates.

For more examples, and further information please refer to the guidelines.

Campaigning is happening now, voting takes place between 4-7 March and the results will be announced at 6pm on Friday 8 March.
