International Holocaust Memorial Day (IHMD) takes place each year on 27 January. To mark this commemorative event, the university is holding a temporary exhibition under this year’s theme of ‘Bridging Generations’.

About the exhibition
The exhibition showcases creative and innovative contributions from students and pupils in our partner schools and organisations, who responded to learning about the Holocaust and other genocides with the aim of deepening their historical understanding, empathy and awareness of diverse identities, cultural heritages and lived experiences across generations.
Our aim is that IHMD 2026 will be an opportunity for people to come together, learn both from and about the past through intergenerational stories, artefacts and archives.
