International Welcome Programme: A Moodle course for all new International Students

Our Welcome Programme is the essential guide for new International Students to help you make the most of living and studying in the UK.

The International Welcome Programme has been created to support the transition to living in the UK for all our international students. The course is designed to be as easily digestible and useful as possible, and includes all of the things we think you need to know at the start of your studies. The more of the course you complete, the better prepared you’ll be for living and studying in the UK.

The course is split into three sections, ‘Before Your Studies’, ‘During your Studies’, and a ‘Police Registration’ section (for our students who need to complete police registration when they arrive in the UK).

Included on the course

  • Help with what (and what not) to pack
  • What to expect at the airport
  • Help with opening a bank account
  • How to make sure you can access health services in the UK, free of charge
  • Assistance with finding accommodation
  • How to make sure you follow the visa rules
  • Help navigating the public transport system in London
  • Ideas on how to get the most out of living in London
  • How to keep yourself safe and healthy whilst you are in the UK
  • Guidance on registering with the police
  • and much, much more!

The course also contains a forum where you can meet your fellow students, get discounts on travel from airport, and gain access to a free UK GB Mag Survival Service subscription. Worth up to £50, we are offering it to all international students joining us in 2021/22, free of charge.
