Sharon always adds value to whatever is asked of her. Whenever I ask Sharon to help with Medway tours, book rooms or need to know who does what, she is always quick to respond and guide me to the best solution. She is key to connecting people across the different campuses and I am incredibly grateful for her knowledge and generosity.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I have been at the University for 13 years, starting as a part time PA to the Head of School of Engineering (job share). I moved to my current role as PA to the PVC and FOO in 2017 and increased my hours to full time. I have been a secretary/PA all my working life, spending the several years working in London at various companies in the fields of advertising, shipping, and the Telegraph newspaper. In my spare time, I enjoy walking, gardening, and playing netball.
What challenges have you faced in the last 12 months?
- A change in PVC
- Juggling returning to work following covid
- Getting a rescue dog that has behavioural issues
- My daughter moving away and starting university
What are you looking forward to?
The summer and some warmer weather
Who or what inspires you?
I take pride in my work and being able to do the best job possible. I also enjoy helping people.
