Healthy Sex and Relationships is aimed at students and includes modules on consent, rape culture and how to tackle it, intimate partner violence and the law on sexual offending.
The aim of the training is to help students foster happy, healthy relationships and to combat sexual and intimate partner violence by educating them on the topic, so they can challenge the behaviours and attitudes that support rape culture.
Students are asked to complete a survey before or after doing the course to give us feedback and help us assess the course’s impact. This is part of a research project led by Dr Rebecca Smith in the School of Human Sciences. The course is running during Term 2 in 2022/23 and we’ll review it at the end of the term.
How you can help
We’re asking for staff to help us promote the course and survey to students, e.g. by sending details to students and encouraging them to complete it. Staff are also welcome to complete the course yourself and give us feedback by contacting Dr Smith
