National Student Survey results

TLDRoffon

I am delighted to announce that the University of Greenwich has increased in overall student satisfaction by 4% to 76%, against a sector increase of 1%. This means that we have gained 3% against the sector and are now on par with the whole sector average. This really is a movement in the right direction and tells us that the work that our staff have all been doing to improve the student experience is really valued by them.

I am also very pleased to share that the following programmes have achieved an overall score of 100%, which is outstanding.

  • Sociology
  • Business logistics and transport management,
  • English literature with creative writing

In addition to this I am extremely pleased to see the following programmes have achieved an excellent overall score of 90% and above:

  • Nursing (adult Nursing)
  • Civil Engineering
  • History
  • Finance and Investment Banking
  • Forensic Science
  • Sociology and Criminology
  • Public health (extended)
  • Paramedic Science
  • Mental Health Nursing
  • Adult Nursing
  • Accounting and Finance
  • Digital media Design and Development, and
  • Business Studies

You can review our results that illustrate how we have performed against the sector, and the relative changes. I would really like to highlight two areas. “Teaching on my course” has both improved in real terms and also 3% relative to the sector performance. This is significant as it tells us how students value the classroom experience and the content of the courses. I would also highlight “Student Voice”, which has increased by 4% relative to sector performance. This is significant and really does tell us that students recognise how we work with them as partners.

You can also review our results that show our overall satisfaction by school and movement over 4 years where we can see some really significant improvements. We can though also see some moving in the wrong direction and we will need to focus our attention on understanding what has happened.
