The course was founded and will be led by Dr Jing Bian, a Senior Lecturer in Financial Law in the School of Law & Criminology, University of Greenwich.
She says:
“Students on the MSc Law, Regulation and the International Financial System will study an interdisciplinary programme focusing on both law and financial systems. This will put students in a unique position in the job market, as there is an increased demand for skilled graduates with knowledge in both law and finance.”
Students will learn key insights related to business operations, regulations, and international best practice. They will also be able to develop in-depth understanding and insight through a major independent research project in a specialist area of their choice, under the supervision of an experienced academic.
The School of Law & Criminology offers a number of CISI (Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment) short courses and MSc Law, Regulation and the International Financial System students will have the opportunity to study for one, or more, of the professional CISI qualifications we offer. (Please note that CISI qualifications will attract additional fees and require additional study.)
Dr Jing continues:
“Students will benefit from our links with employers in London, through our Law Advisory Forum, with law firms, barristers’ chambers and financial institutions. Various events such as guest speakers and networking events with employers, professional bodies and alumni will help students’ career planning.
“Students on the programme will learn from an experienced team of experts, includes academics who have industry experience. Teaching is informed by our research, consultancy, and enterprise work.”
