Banji joins Greenwich from her role as Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at The University of Manchester and she has previously held significant roles in EDI leadership in the NHS, including most recently as Inclusion lead for Barts NHS Trust.
Banji will be leading Greenwich's work on EDI with an initial focus on establishing an EDI team, which will be part of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, reporting directly to Gail Brindley, Executive Director of People.
Speaking about her appointment, Banji said:
