At Greenwich, we aim for sustainability excellence in all we do.
People & Planet’s University League is the only comprehensive and independent league table of UK universities ranked by environmental and ethical performance. It is compiled annually by the UK’s largest student campaigning network, People & Planet.
In the 2024/25 People & Planet League table, the University of Greenwich made a one place improvement from joint 18th to 17th overall, out of 149 universities that were assessed, meaning we retained our 1st Class Award.
Greenwich were 5th placed for universities in London and 2nd out of all University Alliance members.
Head of Strategic Sustainability, Simon Goldsmith said: “Although this is good news, we know there is always more to do to improve.
“Many thanks to everyone across the university that has helped us with our ongoing work on sustainability. This year we have had many successes that all at Greenwich should be proud of.”
