Melvina, who is a student on the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (Degree apprenticeship) Programme has been given an award for a rising star by the Royal College of Nursing, RCN London 2020 Rising Stars award, which is part of the black history month celebration.
We caught up with Melvina who said:
I was completely overwhelmed to be one of the recipients of the RCN London 2020 Rising Star Award and honoured on being nominated by Oxleas Executive Director of Nursing for the award.
My emotions clearly ran over when I realised only a few days later that I won the best overall health professional Quality Improvement poster as well.
I am grateful for the academic insight gained in my current participation in the University of Greenwich ACP Master's Programme. I look forward to building on this experience in my research module, which underpins one of the four key pillars of the ACP.
Congratulations Melvina, you've definitely made us all #ProudToBeGre
