SDG2: Zero Hunger - Ali Glossop

Ali Glossop, a Sustainability Intern shares what SDG2 means for her, and why she wants to be part of the community making change.

SDG2: Zero Hunger

When I think of SDG 2, I think about the fact that in the UK, 8.4 million people are struggling to afford to eat, while 1.9 million tonnes of food is wasted by the food industry every year. We need solutions to this problem.

Charities such as Fareshare are redistributing food that would otherwise go to waste, supermarkets are selling more 'wonky veg', people are cutting down on what they buy and throw away.

But we need to do more. I want to be part of the community making change.
