We’re really proud that our long history of close collaborations as partners will continue after the Social Work Portfolio Group secured Government funding, totalling £257,895, to continue working together across the South East of London and the area of Kent.

We will work together on our collective vision to create an inclusive learning environment across the agencies involved that is responsive to the needs of local communities, and recognises the challenges, diversity, and opportunities of a post-Covid-19 landscape. Partners will aim to attract, develop, inspire, and sustain a highly skilled and confident workforce that promotes practice excellence to achieve positive outcomes.

Dr Sue Hanna and Dr Panagiotis Pentaris, two of the team members who are leading on various aspects of the partnership said:

This partnership will help develop a stronger and inclusive learning culture that involves people with lived experience, practitioners, employers, newly qualified social workers, as well as researchers and academics, and with a focus on the learner – students, practitioners, academics.
