It is with great sadness that we learnt yesterday of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her remarkable life and active support for universities and education leaves an enduring legacy reflected for many of us in the Queen’s Anniversary Prizes, of which Greenwich has been a proud recipient.
The UK now enters a period of mourning for ten days.
As information is received from the Department for Education regarding the state funeral and national mourning, we will of course update you all.
Whilst the university is able to continue with its day-to-day business during this period, we expect to see some disruption. We will update the portal with the latest information so please check it regularly.
I am sure that many of you will join me in expressing our thoughts and condolences to the Royal Family as they come to terms with this sad news.
