You'll find the Student Group Rooms on the Ground floor behind the Welcome Desk. The flexible spaces are:
Meeting Rooms: 19a, 19b & 22
The three meeting rooms are bookable on the university system with student priority. They are almost identical in size and facilities and each room can seat eight people. The tables are fixed, which means they're not as flexible as the other meeting rooms, but they can still be moved to the outer walls of the room. The chairs are stackable so can easily be moved.
Each of the rooms contain TV and AV to be able to plug in laptops and devices.
Meeting Rooms: 18 & 20
It's one space with an optional divider, to make this room as versatile as possible. It can seat 12 people at desks or more with the desks removed. The furniture is formed of flip top desks and stackable chairs, to ensure transition is quick and easy.
The room is located next door to the largest of the Students' Union meeting rooms and has connected sound. This enables the room to become an additional room for female prayer space on Fridays. The room will be booked every Friday all year around for prayer space from 12.30 – 2.30pm.
Large Meeting Rooms: 15, 24, 25
The largest of the Students' Union meeting rooms can seat 32 around one large table, 50 lecture (presentation) style. The room will be booked every Friday all year around for prayer space from 12.30 – 2.30pm and has space for 40 people.
The room can also be split into two or three separate rooms with the easy-to-use room dividers. Rooms 15 and 24 split equally, provide enough space for 8 seated around three tables. Room 25 is the largest and can comfortably seat 14 people around 5 tables.
The furniture in rooms 15, 24 and 25 are all versatile and can be moved easily depending on the requirements needed.
