We know that some students will need to self-isolate when travelling to the UK - you can check if you need to on the UK government's web site.
Whether you're a new or continuing student, to self-isolate in halls, you will need to have already booked a room, if you haven't booked a room in halls yet you can book one now. You can stay in halls for up to two weeks before the start of the standard accommodation contract, for free.
If you already have a room in halls booked, you will need to let the accommodation team know that you want to self-isolate with us. If you have not yet booked your room and want to self-isolate with us then please book your accommodation as soon as possible.
See our Quarantine Guide for International Students.
Arriving at Heathrow on 25 or 26 August?
If you are a student resident who is arriving at Heathrow on Tuesday 25 or Wednesday 26 August, then the university will also arrange for you to be collected from the airport. From Monday 17 August we will provide a link to the coach booking form to all students who have booked to self-isolate in halls. Once you have booked, you will receive an email from the travel company with your exact departure details and instructions, within a few days.
Bookings will stay open after Friday 21 August, but the schedule and capacity will be based on those who have booked before this date, so availability may be limited.
Book a care package
You can also book one of our care packages, through the accommodation team. This provides the opportunity to purchase bedding, kitchen sets and a small amount of food to be collected when you arrive at halls.
You can find out more about our Accommodation Promise, and book your room in halls on our Accommodation web pages.
