Podcast: Launching The Female Professoriate Podcast

TLDRoffon

For International Women's Day we shared a photo of some of our female professors and this marks the first in a series celebrating our Female Professoriate.

Female professors on international Women's Day

Professor of International Law, Olga Martin-Ortega, has released a new podcast series which will highlight the incredible careers of fellow female professors through interviews.

Called the Female Professoriate Podcast, in each episode Olga will be talking to a female academic about their lives and work, the choices and decisions they made to get where they are, the women who inspired them, and how to empower women at earlier stages in their academic development.

The first episode, also released to coincide with International Women's Day, is a conversation with Professor of Social Sciences, Tracey Reynolds. They discuss her journey into research, 20 years working with migrant families, black communities and women, creative and participatory methods, the women who guided and inspired her, and what it means to be a female professor today.

You can listen to the first episode below and subscribe to keep up with the series. And by following our female professoriate tag on the portal, you can find out more about our outstanding academics as we profile these women over the coming months.

You can listen to more of our Scholars in Spotlight editions on our blog.
