This Girl Can, and so can you

This week the GSU is encouraging all women and girls to get moving – launched by Sport England in January 2015, the nationwide campaign has plenty of inspiration.

Being active is one of the best ways to support your health and wellbeing. It isn’t always easy to find time to exercise, so this week the GSU as part of the This Girl Can campaign is sharing lots of ideas and ways to get involved with sport and fitness. We also want to celebrate our students and staff who identify as female and encourage you be active. Get involved by using the hastag #ThisGirlCan and inspire other women and girls to take the step to be active.

You can find out more about the GSU support for the This Girl Campaign here, there are plenty of ways for women and girls to get involved including virtual training sessions welcoming all abililties.

Celebrate sport and being active with Meet the Girls, you can read great stories about why sport is so important to women and girls at the university.

Events timetable

GSUmove offers free, fun and non-competitive sport that requires no commitment other than purchasing a free ticket for each activity. All this week there are activities running for you try something new from the comfort of your home, build your confidence or rewind after a long day.

Team Greenwich

There are plenty of sports clubs for you to join at Greenwich and so many ways to stay active and social. The Team Greenwich page provides you with an overview of sports clubs you can join.
