The Study UK Alumni Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of alumni and showcase the impact and value of a UK higher education. Award winners and finalists are leaders in their field who have used their experience of studying at a UK university to make a positive contribution to their communities, professions and countries. The nine finalists were selected from more than 1,300 applicants from around the world, for their outstanding achievements as business professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders, and for their important contribution to strengthening collaborative ties between the UK and India.
Dr Abhijit Singh, who studied an MBA in maritime management at University of Greenwich between 2008-2010, is an accomplished maritime professional and passionate educator with multifaceted work experience in shipping, onshore and at sea. As the Executive Director of Indian Ports Association, he is considered an expert of maritime related matters.
Dr Singh was presented with his award, virtually, on Friday the 26th March and a congratulatory message from Vice-Chancellor Professor Jane Harrington was played.
