Speaking about her appointment, she said: “‘I am delighted to have been given this opportunity to lead the University of Greenwich Business School and am looking forward to working with colleagues to drive positive change and achieve the university’s ambitious vision for the future.’
Professor Jane Harrington, Vice Chancellor of the University of Greenwich, said: "I'm really pleased that Leigh will be joining the university. She brings with her a wealth of experience. I particularly welcome her focus on student experience, international development and her work driving innovative, future-focused courses and learning spaces. Leigh brings both higher education and industry experience and has excellent connections with business that will benefit our students. She will be a fantastic addition to the team at Greenwich.”
Professor Doster is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has worked with several universities as an External Examiner and Advisor for existing, new and overseas programmes. Prior to working in academia, she had extensive experience in industry working for organisations such as Volvo Trucks GB, BP Oil and British Rail.
Professor Doster will join the university on 13 September.
