Working together, the partnership hopes to build a national talent pipeline of students to equip the next generation of those who will tackle cybercrime with the essential skills, knowledge and on-the-job training they need.
With a platform for leading the charge to strengthen national cyber resilience, the partnership will benefit the UK economy, protect national assets, and make the UK the safest place to work in, to invest in and to deal with.
Greenwich students will have a chance to take part in The CyberPATH programme, a national internship initiative. It provides students with real-world experience in cyber security while helping to shore up the nation's defences against cybercrime. The programme offers students the opportunity to work alongside senior Cyber Security Practitioners and police officers to deliver high-quality, tailored, and affordable cyber resilience services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
In addition to this internship initiative CRC London will support students learning outcomes through guest lectures and innovative hackathon sessions solving real world problems in the cybercrime.
Hannah Khoo, Head of Operations at the Cyber Resilience Centre for London said:
“We’re collaborating with the University of Greenwich to recruit students onto our Cyber PATH programme. The career team has been excellent at helping us to engage with students through career fairs, talks with the students, and spreading the word about the opportunity. We look forward to continuing working with the university.”
Mary Ivers, Associate Director of External Engagement at University of Greenwich said:
“This collaboration with the Cyber Resilience Centre for London reflects our commitment to preparing students for the future of work. By giving them access to real-world experience through the CyberPATH programme, we’re not only enhancing their employability but also contributing to national efforts to combat cybercrime and strengthen the UK’s digital resilience.”
CRC London is backed by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime, City of London Police, and Metropolitan Police, and works closely with national and regional partners to deliver impactful cyber support.
