Grace Enever and Aisa Nerva-Culley, both University of Greenwich students, formed Fruity Theatre Company with the aim to build a safe place to explore queer stories and to create theatre based on their own experiences and highlight the queer experience. The company is supported by the University of Greenwich.

Nail Polish focuses on a group of friends who support each other through the aftermath of a violent attack on New Year's Eve. They discover the humanity and deep struggles that happen among queer communities and the pressures of living in a world that seems to never accept them.

The show already has already enjoyed great success and received a 4-star review from the Scotsman for the performance at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Written by new writing duo Aaron Govey and Daisy Parker, and under the direction of Kaylin Michael, Grace Enever and Tilly Penn, Nail Polish puts a spotlight on the trials and tribulations of the LGBTQ+ community.

This year saw Fruity Theatres’ debut at Edinburgh Fringe, supported by the University of Greenwich and their theatre company Bathway Theatre company whose credits at Edinburgh Fringe include; Woyzeck Marie (2022) , We Want You To Watch (2019) and Blue Heart (2018)
