Update on our new Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) contract

We are now preparing for a phased introduction of the new IFM contract, which will deliver transformational student-focused services across our three campuses.

We're working closely with our new partner, Sodexo, to adjust the plans for the start of our new contract, which have had to change as a result of the situation with Coronavirus.

Sodexo will be running all cleaning, security, maintenance, grounds, business support, pest control and waste management services across the university.

As we are now working from virtual campuses, the contract will be implemented using a phased approach, starting with interim facilities management services and moving to the planned full service in due course.

The contract will start on 18 May, and members of staff who are moving over to Sodexo will still move as planned.

The new contract enables our move to the Real Living Wage for staff and contractors and will provide enhanced training and employment opportunities for our students, including employability workshops, CV drop-ins, mentoring, volunteering, apprenticeships and internship opportunities.
