Learning Analytics: Using data to support your learning

Your Learning Analytics data is available via the new Study Goal app, which can give you an accurate perception of how your learning is progressing.

This guide, 5 Easy Steps to Access Study Goal shows how to get started with your Learning Analytics and the Study Goal app, developed by Jisc, the UK's expert body for digital technology and digital resources in higher education.

You can download Study Goal from the App Store, Google play or your preferred app store.

By combining your "digital footprints" left when you use university systems, with your grades and past academic history, Study Goal will provide an overall picture of your academic engagement and progress to support your learning.  Your Personal Tutor, Programme and Module Leaders will use this data to have informed conversations with you to ensure you reach your full academic potential.

This initiative is supported by the Students' Union as a useful tool to support the student - tutor partnership, which they see at the heart of education.

Data models retrieved through Learning Analytics can identify trends and patterns to assist tutors and lecturers in designing personalised support and assistance for students, and to arrange essential interventions if there is evidence of a student struggling.
