Your campus heroes: Linda Brewster, the FEHHS Learning Technology Support team, Vik Chauhan and Debbie Reeve

TLDRoffon

Thank you for the nominations you've shared of who you think should be part of our Heroes series. There's still time to share yours - and you can have more than one hero.

So far, we've met portersresidency staff cleaning staff and members of our security team.

My campus hero(ine) is Linda Brewster, the cleaner in King William building on Greenwich campus. She works tirelessly and with good humour in often challenging situations.

Dr John Morton - Associate Professor of English Literature

The Learning Technology Support Team FEHHS. Where can I start...

Really, really helpful and supportive and incredibly knowledgeable. Even when working under incredible pressure e.g. during online exam season they remain very friendly, helpful, and polite. Even though I am an IT numpty, I am never made to feel stupid and they will go out of their way to provide detailed 'idiot' proof explanations

I cannot thank them enough for all the help and support they give.

Angie Campbell - Senior Lecturer in the School of Health Sciences

I'd like to nominate Vik Chauhan as a campus hero. Since I've worked at Greenwich he has been a friendly colleague and excellent source of resources and support to students and staff alike. Since COVID has changed our working environment Vik has been innovative and communicative in how he continues this support for the criminology library resources. Thanks Vik!

Dr Camille Stengel - Senior Lecturer in Criminology

Debbie Reeve has organised all of us in Health Sciences in relation to our move to our new office building (or that is how it feels) and has answered numerous emails from the staff with amazing patience and good humour. She has allocated and labelled storage and equipment and has done many other tasks which I am sure are outside of her job description.

Debbie is always helpful and I do not know of anyone, particularly in what was the Department of Family Care and Mental Health, who does not sing her praises and expresses admiration of her helpful kindness.

Claire Winter - Senior Lecturer for Children's Nursing
